Started with a bench my sister gave me when she moved. I LOVED it - but wanted to update the fabric. I just took apart the bench, and used the fabric for the pattern for the updated bench.
Had a helper. She actually unscrewed all of the bolts on the bench to take it apart.
Projects are so fun with helpers! (At least she still loves to do things with her mom!!)
Cut out the fabric exactly the same shape as the original fabric.
This is what the bench looked like underneath the fabric.
Used staple gun to staple fabric to bench.
Proof I'm not a perfectionist!
Glued trim to outside of bench. NO sewing needed!!
Trip to Home Depot for glue and staples (Which actually took three hours even though it's right across the street, but saw an old friend, had to run through the car wash, get a Diet Coke from McDonald's, then make dinner and clean up again before re-starting project!!)

Leena is so proud of her new bench.
